Croesawodd Maes Carafanau Dolswydd eu hymwelwyr cyntaf yn 1992 ac mae llawer o ymwelwyr yn dod i aros yn gyson ers hynny. Mae'r teulu yn gofalu am y fferm deuluol yn ogystal â'r maes carafanau.

Mae yma gyfleusterau glân a modern, yn cynnwys dŵr poeth, cawodydd a thoiledau sy'n addas i bawb, peiriant golchillestri a chyfleusterau golchi dillad. Mae gan bob safle bwyntiau trydan i gysylltu â nhw (16A).

Saif y maes ar gyrion pentref Penybont ar yr A44, sydd 2 filltir o gyffordd yr A44 a'r A483 yn Y Groes (Crossgates).

Mae'r siop a'r garej agosaf ym mhentref Y Groes, a'r archfarchnad agosaf yn Llandrindod.

Gellir pysgota ar afon Ithon sy'n llifo ochr yn ochr â'r maes carafanau a'r fferm, ac mae llwybrau cerdded yn mynd trwy'r fferm i gyfeiriad Creigiau Llandeglau a'r bryniau cyfagos.
